Indigo traces the journey of a fragmented family, centering around Emma, a non-speaking autistic girl with synesthesia who finds herself alone following the unexpected death of her father. The only family to be found is Elaine, who suffers from early onset Alzheimer's and can't recall her connection to Emma. Everything falls to Elaine's daughter Beverly to piece Emma’s story together as she confronts the difficult choices of her past.
